Volunteer Information Sheet for Touch My Brum
Event Name: Touch My Brum Rugby Tournament
Venue: Sutton Coldfield RFC, B76 2QA
Date: Saturday, 13th July 2024
Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities:
- Pitch Support (2 volunteers per pair of pitches):
- Assist the crew at each pitch by bringing water, kits, and other necessary materials.
- Ensure that each pitch has the required supplies throughout the event.
- Collect and relay information from each pitch to the central scoring team.
- Act as a point of contact for any updates or changes during the event.
- Ensure that first aid needs are communicated promptly and clearly to the central team, and guide those in ned to the first aid team.
- Information Desk:
- Hand out welcome packs to participants and teams who are registering on the day of the tournament.
- Provide information about the event and answer initial questions.
- Provide information about the event schedule and answer general inquiries.
- Guide participants to the Tournify app when enquired about the event schedule and be prepared to assist attendees with any questions.
- Guide players to the correct pitches where they will be playing.
- Lunch Organisation and Distribution:
- Organise and distribute lunch to attendees.
- Ensure that dietary requirements are met and that lunch distribution runs smoothly.
General Guidelines:
- Arrive at least 30 minutes before the day begins/my volunteer start time to receive any last-minute instructions.
- Wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for a full day of activities.
- Stay hydrated and take breaks as needed (lunch will be provided for you).
- Be friendly, approachable, and ready to assist participants and attendees.
- Communicate any issues or concerns to the event coordinators immediately.
