Firstly, a big thank you for agreeing to referee at Touch My Brum. This is the tenth year that we’ve run it, and the main aim is to have a fun and light hearted summer event.

PRIORITY TASK

Please register at the referee registration form below – this is free, and it’s so we can make sure you have a packed lunch reserved and to take note of any dietary requirements.

Tournament Venue

The venue is Sutton Coldfield RFC. B76 2QA

Tournament Times

The tournament runs from 10.00am to 5.00pm. The morning consist of groups of round robin matches, leading to three tiers of knockout play in the afternoon.

The tournament rules are at HERE, if there is something that you don’t agree with on the rules that impacts safety, then please let me know and I will issue an immediate update. If it is something that would be useful, then please let me know afterwards so we can incorporate the rules afterwards.

Changing Facilities

There will be one male changing room, one female changing room, and one junior changing room reserved for referees.

Support on the day

Each pitch will have a nominated Pitch Host who will have a radio mic and be in contact with the organisers and first aid. If you have anything that you require (even if it is a bottle of water) then please do ask them.

Also remember to pick up your goodie bag which will contain some useful supplies for your day.

Respect for Referees

We expect all players to demonstrate due respect to a referee. If there are any problems in this (which there shouldn’t be) then please do take any required action on the pitch, and if off the pitch then please do speak to a pitch host or other volunteer.

After The Tournament

You are welcome (but not obligated) to head to The Nightingale in Birmingham to join us for a night out. The wristband gives you 10% off.
